THERE ARE LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE - CHECK THE DETAILS, READ THE FAQ….OR, IF YOU ALREADY KNOW WHATS UP, HIT THAT SIGN UP BUTTON!

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Bleeding Roses Records was founded on the principle that music should be accessible to EVERYONE. Part of this means breaking down the financial barriers and wasteful business practices that keep most of us from ever being able to attempt recording. DIY has come a long way as well - Together we can make amazing things happen. This is my attempt to prove that to you, while also having some fun making some noise!

This unique recording experiment strives to show off your band in the most authentic, genuine way possible. No studio tricks, no gimmicks, no auto-tune, no locking to the grid….Just YOUR unique sound. Bring your amps, your drums, your efx, and your amazing ideas and creativity. With this record, we hope this fun annual event will also inspire other local musicians to hit the garage, basement, or bedroom studio and get their music out there!

 FAQs

  • Yup. This project is being done at zero cost to the bands involved. All you have to spend is your time. Its that simple.

  • This one is also pretty straight forward:

You retain the rights to your song. This is not a “signed to a label” situation. We retain rights to the recordings (stems, raw files) to ensure the work remains in house.

If you’d like to record with me and take your stems elsewhere, we can do that! Just…not for this project.

  • Money is never the focus of anything we do, that being said, it would be cool to put some money in everyone’s pockets. Streaming royalties will be paid out to the bands Quarterly, with Bleeding Roses Records taking a modest 20% to recoup costs, and invest in the following year (and eventually including physical releases, vinyls, merch etc). Again, these are pennies we are talking about. The focus is the community building and creation!

  • First session: 4 - 8 hours
    Retake session: 1 - 2 hours

Thats it! Just one to two sessions is all it takes.

  • Your instruments, pedal boards/efx, and drumkit! If your guitar or bass amp is a major part of your tone, bring that too! The goal is to show the world what your band sounds like, not what my software can do.
