rECORDING + mIXING + MASTERING
Bleeding Roses Records is a multi-genre, Independent, DIY-Style recording studio located in Portland, OR. With 15 years of production experience, I can help you or your band’s music sound the best its ever been. As a long-time musician myself, I am passionate about helping indie artists get their footing in an otherwise ridiculously expensive world of recording, while not compromising on their band or acts sound Thats why I do things a little different…
No hourly rate
no extra costs
No Royalties
No Bullshit
Being a musician has never been harder, or more expensive than it is today. I’m trying to help change that. With flexible scheduling, per-project rates, and payment options, I guarantee you wont have to sell that many shirts (bad joke, sorry) to get an awesome track, EP, or Album. DIY recording has come a long way, the concept of a studio is definitely changing.
With over 15 years of production experience, and a wide variety of musical influences, I can guarantee your music will be in great hands. I pride myself on being able to perfectly capture the vibe and sound the artist is going for. Whether it be real, raw, and in the room, or larger than life and aggressively over the top - I believe when your audience hears your music, it should be a experience, not just a song. I strive to encourage artists to break away from the expected and safe, and to explore every possible idea, option, sound....no matter how ridiculous it may seem.
I love loud, raw, and heavy, but have a major soft spot for acoustic and emotionally driven music. I pride myself in my ability to add meaningful contributions to your music, and I know you'll find I have a lot to offer!

Your Gear! Bring your guitars, basses, and amps, pedalboards, and drumkit! Unlike alot of other studios, I'm not here to capture what you sound like on MY gear. The goal is to capture the band's unique sound, and the best way to do that is to record your stuff, not mine!
A spare acoustic/electric guitar, and a bass are available in a pinch. Dont want to bring the whole 4x12? Thats what cab sims are for! Otherwise, pretend its a gig and pack like you're ready to play! -
It's somewhat on a case-by-case basis, however, most sessions only take two to four hours, and often end in a completely tracked demo. The goal is to lay the track on session 1, and do final takes or retakes for session 2. Most artists leave the second session knowing all thats left is to wait for the mix!

When its done! Again, it depends on the project. Most singles are ready for distribution within 2 weeks of finishing the final session. EPs/LPs can var greatly, depending on the scope of the project. Tracks are released to the artist upon final Payment, unless a payment plan has been agreed upon.

Being a working musician, I get that we arent always in a spot to drop big bucks on our passion (even if we want to). This is why I allow flexible payment plans. Artists who enter into a payment agreement will be able to release their music BEFORE the final payment. I hate how studios will hold tracks hostage - I want the world to hear the work I've done with you, just the same way you want them to hear your music.
I allow Payment plans, on contract, for artists who need the extra flexibility for larger projects. Cash, Venmo, Paypal, and Direct Transfer are accepted.
