FEEL THE MUSIC

Calyx is a singer-songwriter out of Portland, OR bringing her decadently emotional sound to the world. Her rich lyrics showcase her romantic and soulful voice set to an entrancing backdrop of swirling synths and dramatic bass alongside her classic piano melodies. Blending vocal influences of blues, R&B, and neo-soul, with pop-oriented instrumentals, Calyx’s haunting ballads are dichotomized by upbeat and well-produced rhythms.

“Save Us” (EP) is a sapid display of Calyx and her core delivery as an artist. The tracks lyrically explore themes of abandonment and dubiety of faith alongside an entrancing symphony of synths with hard-hitting vocals and analogous drums that drive home the deep emotional delivery.

“Someday” is the newest single from Calyx, and the first off her debut album, releasing this coming fall. Leaning into a hyper-progressive songwriting approach, Calyx blends a haunting piano melody into a bright and upbeat synth track to emotionally move her listener through the track.
